Speaking at a media briefing held at the APC national secretariat in Abuja, the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Mohammad Argungu, emphasized that the endorsement of President Tinubu—by key party organs such as the National Working Committee, the Progressives Governors Forum led by Senator Hope Uzodinma, and the National Assembly leadership under Senator Godswill Akpabio—was based on his commendable performance in office.
Nonetheless, Argungu underscored the APC’s commitment to democratic values, assuring that the party will uphold an open and competitive primary process, allowing any eligible member to vie for the presidential ticket.
